There are twelve (12) habituated mountain gorilla groups open to tourism: Mubare; Habinyanja; Rushegura near Buhoma; and the Nkuringo group at Nkuringo, Nshongi, Mishaya, Busingye, Kahungye, Bweza near Rushaga; Bitukura, Oruzogo and Kyaguriro for research . Activities to experience include the adventurous mountain gorilla trekking, Nature walk safaris, bird watching, community walk and the famous Batwa cultural performances.
